Plant Care
Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent or just getting started, we’re here to help you grow with confidence! Below are some tried-and-true tips to keep your plants happy, healthy, and thriving all year long.
-
Know Your Plant
Every plant is unique! Some love bright sunlight, others prefer shady corners. Before bringing a plant home, get to know its light, water, and soil needs. When in doubt, ask us—we’re happy to help!
-
Light it Right
Place your plant in a spot that fits its sunlight needs:
-Bright, indirect light – near a sunny window with a sheer curtain
-Direct light – sun-lovers like succulents and cacti
-Low light – great for snake plants or pothos
Rotate your plant every couple of weeks to keep it growing evenly.
-
Feed & Refresh
A little boost never hurts! Use a balanced, all-purpose plant fertilizer during the growing seasons (spring & summer). Wipe down leaves regularly to keep dust away and let them breathe.
-
Water Wisely
Overwatering is the most common mistake. Check the soil before watering—if the top 1-2 inches are dry, it’s time for a drink!
Pro tip: Use a pot with drainage holes to prevent root rot.
-
Keep it Comfortable
Plants like what we like—comfortable temps and some fresh air. Keep them away from cold drafts, heating vents, and direct AC. A gentle breeze now and then helps them stay strong.
-
Repot When Needed
If roots are growing out of the drainage holes or the plant seems cramped, it’s time to repot. Choose a slightly larger pot with fresh soil to give it room to grow.
