Our story began in 1992 when founder Ike Wright graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a degree in horticulture. With a passion for education and over 25 years of experience, Ike envisioned a space that would transform the gardening industry through creativity and community engagement.
In 2007, Ike took a bold step by founding a landscape company rooted in innovation and quality service. This venture laid the foundation for what would eventually become Wrights Market. Years later, an exciting opportunity emerged to return to Ike's beloved hometown—sparking a new chapter that combined his love for horticulture with a one-of-a-kind retail experience.
Joining Ike in this vision is his wife, Heather Wright, whose background includes multiple degrees in education and psychology. Her deep understanding of the mental and physical health benefits of gardening has shaped her journey. Heather recognized that nurturing plants not only enhances our environment but also fosters well-being, reduces stress, and creates a sense of connection to the natural world.
Together, Ike and Heather brought Wrights Market to life—a vibrant destination featuring men’s and women’s clothing, home accessories, gifts, and a garden center filled with local fruits and vegetables. We also offer event plant rentals and curated selections of blooming plants and meaningful gifts, all designed to enrich and inspire.
At Wrights Market, we go beyond products—we focus on education. Through workshops, gardening classes, and design consultations, we aim to empower our community with knowledge about plant identification, care, and propagation.
